The southern half of the lake was wide open this weekend, what a difference. Blackstrap north was pretty much ice-free this weekend, here we go…

Here is the list for the opening day tasks at Bssc. Being that start time is 1100 you will want to be there right at 1100 to jump to the tasks at hand. They are as follows:
- install the dock into the water ice permitting. Need to set the poles.
- deck analysis and replacement of some of the deck boards – bring some 2X4s(who can do this)
- cut the grass around the facility including the clubhouse changeroom, boat parking areas.
- Exec to conduct a survey of the future boat parking area south of the storage shed.
- clean the changhouse and remove stored boats and install the spare lockers and benches from the outhouse. Also install the divider and remove the boat storage crossmembers and store them under the changehouse.
- Clean the clubhouse
- Clean the storage shed.
- organize the racing Rubbermaid kit and get the flags put away in the storage building – need air for the airhorn and possibly a whistle.
- get the safety boat turned over and get the motor out and get it out for a test run and check the gas/oil store the boat on shore, motor put away.
- rake the beach clean.
- Hoist the wind sock.
- install better venting on the outhouse – need to discuss how to do this.
- meet with the fire department.
- orient those on site of the emergency preparedness notices and do short safety meeting.
- get dinking water brought to site and fill containers at site as well as the outhouse containers.
- clean the outhouse and replenish the toilet paper- there is none on site (who wants to bring? )
