2017 was a challenging year for Blackstrap Sailing Club and the executive. Severe ice damage over the winter destroyed the shoreline. The rebuilding effort of 2017 was a monumental undertaking that could not have been pulled off without the dedication of 2 hard working members of the executive.
For the first time ever, the Blackstrap Sailing Club has co-winners of the Commodore’s Cup. The award goes to both “Chainsaw John Barry” for overseeing the details of site work and to Amy Langhorne for her expertise and tireless effort in working through the permitting process to get the project approved!
On behalf of the entire Club, I would like to thank John, Amy, and everyone who helped out during this crazy year.
